TOP LINEN CLOSET PRODUCTS (links included)
Lemon & Pine has been obsessed lately with linen closet makeovers! We love all the pretty baskets and bins. Having all your sheets and towels labelled and contained feels darn good!
WHY YOU SHOULD ORGANIZE YOUR LINEN CLOSET
Linen closets not only store all your bedding, blankets, towels, and face and handcloths. They also hold some bathroom overstocks, so having a system for all of these is crucial to maintaining it.
Whether you hire us to help or do it yourself, your next step is figuring out your style.
Do you like to be able to see everything on the shelves, or do you like it tucked away in baskets? What baskets do you prefer, woven, natural, clear, white or colourful? Once this is decided, itβs time to buy, order your products, or send us! We love shopping π€
THE LEMON & PINE PROCESS
At Lemon & Pine, we have three tiers for pricing; each consists of the same process, just different baskets and bins. When organizing your closet, you first want to take everything out and clean the area thoroughly. Map out where everything will be put back and start sorting and editing. We like to make a donate pile, toss pile (anything expired or broken) and keep pile; everything in the keep pile goes into categories of towels, face cloths, hand towels and bedding, which goes into additional categories: king sheets, queen sheets, full and twin.
If you have bathroom overstock, those need to be categorized as well: toilet paper, extra hand soap, travel, first aid and extra toiletries.
When putting those items away into containers or baskets, they should be taken out of boxes and packaging. If you are using bins, we suggest labelling directly on them if they are hard plastic or glass and if itβs woven or fabric, then mark tags work & look great!
PRODUCTS WE love to USE BY TIER
TIER THREE
We like to use these Emery Rectangle Storage Basket from Canadian Tire. They fit a ton of sheets, pillowcases and towels. The smaller Lucy Rectangle Storage Baskets are great for hand towels and face cloths. For all of your oversized comforters and blankets, we like to put in clear Ikea totes with lids to keep them fresh and free from insects. These label tags from Amazon look great on these woven baskets. All printed labels are complimentary.
TIER TWO
In addition to the jute baskets, we like to use the IKEA Variera bins (small and large) and the large clear bins with lids for comforters. Complimentary printed labels are included.
TIER ONE
We use what you have at home or purchase it yourself. Complimentary printed labels are included. If you are doing this yourself, we recommend buying a label maker.
BEFORE & AFTER - THE BLISS LOFT
We loved this recent linen closet we did with Sarah from The Bliss Loft, where we used the products discussed above. Check out the Before & Afters below.
